took vacation this week and fished the past two mornings with some good success, managed to catch several silver bass and a few sheep's head one really large one. i started just using a minnow plastic on a jig head which wasn't producing, noticed some people using some spoons and spinners so i switched to a little cleo silver/blue and bingo.some of the fish hit just reeling a steady retrieve and others hit when i worked some jigging and pause action to the spoon. the silver bass have been on for a while the past couple weeks.so it felt great to be able to get in on the action while it lasts.didn't even bother with the walleye run this year as the early spring weather was really up and down, they were catching them though when they timed it right. going to try and upload some pictures of my silvers and sheeps head. just need to have friend show me how as i don't share pics very often.anyway just felt great to catch some fish.
