That's true, they do have lower US pricing which is odd since both currencies are even right now.

But still, BPS are one of the best overall places for fishing gear in terms of selection and price. They usually do have some really goods deals as ght pointed out.

I still think Lebaron has lower pricing then anywhere i have seen, but the selection is limited. BPS has alot more selection.

I prefer hitting the local bait shops. Might pay a wee bit more, but they will be open when you need bait, and will tell you where to go and how to catch. Bass Pro dont know diddly!
Support the local guys now, you will miss them when they are gone...
Oh, and they are CANADIAN Companies..another bonus!

My 2 cents.

well i work literally 10 seconds from lebaron and believe me they are more expensive then bps for most things. example is i bought an xrap at lebaron for 8.50 or something like that i got the same one at bps for 5.25 . samer withe the cotton cordel lures so much more expensive at lebaron.

that is only because bps is having a sale on the xraps. usually they are about the same price in the 8 range. i picked up two myself when they were on sale. :)

i usually hit up both bps and lebarons. i purchased my new curado from lebarons. sweet deals guys. it's currently being sold at a lower price of 219.94, i have the card, so i get an additional 10% off, and there is the $50 rebate from shimano, so the reel turned out to be about 170ish. bps doesn't even have curado's at the moment.

today i stopped at aplace called fishing depo just of kipling beside the 401. That store is amazing! obiously they dont have the amount of lures bps does but they have a great selection. If you havent been there ceck it out. In terms of how it compares to lebaron and bps it has better prices on senkos then bps but everything overall seems a little cheaper.

Yes,,,, Fishing Depot is awesome place. Sure it is bit more expensive due to it being a local store...
They have got so much stuff for their store size but who cares :)

They have a lot of musky stuff too...

Also,,, guys there are very very nice and helpful.

The guys at Lebaron are REAL pros too.
They will show you the best methods & products you are looking for..regardless of price & or manufacturer. If there is a real on sale that is a better deal than the "shimano", they are not afraid to tell you! the will not try and OVER SELL you something you dont really need.

BPS does not do that for you!!
Also, BPS selection is larger because they stock 1/2 the store with thier own shiite!

The little guys will also order you anything you need...

2 more cents for the lil guy!

Man like 9.99 for a three tray, it's 9.99 for a single tray at CT! That's such a good deal.

I find that for rods and reels, LeBaron has better pricing than bass pro, it's a mixed bag when it comes to lures, but bass pro has some really good sales on lures from time to time.

I usually go to BPS and i live 10mins from LeBaron's i use to go there but I found they had high prices. I stopped going there cause I got off work and went straight there (I work the midnight shift) I arrived about 10-15 minutes before they opened, So I was just standing beside my car when an older lady that worked there told me i should go away and come back later. So I went away (to BPS). I was going to try out the fishing depot one day, But now that you guys are saying that its worth while I might make a drive over there and see for myself.

I love BPS it's like 15mins drive away and when I'm there I'm not coming out empty handed. The pricing at LeBaron I would say on average is higher then BPS, but then sometimes you would find these little things that you would never see at BPS. Rods & Reels I would agree LeBaron is better for example I bought a shimano compre at LeBaron for $97 while it was selling at BPS for $100. $3 whole dollars!!! lol but seriously shop around and compare before you buy.
