I work for a airline and sometime i see a freight of koi fish. Few boxes...
and on the label it says,,, "This way up".

I was wondering why? because fish is in the water... so why would it matter? it's not like fish would be turned up side down or something...

anyways.

On my last trip out for pike, I saw this bright red fish sitting on the bottom. I tried to get him to bite but spooked him afterwards. I was surprised to see a bright red koi and it was -2c that day as well.

I caught the biggest fish of life last year on opening day, a 20+ pound pike on lake muskoka. I say 20+ pounds because it bottomed out an old brass spring scale that only went up to 20lbs... not by much though. I caught it while trolling/paddleing in a canoe. It was a struggle to get it in both the net and then the canoe with out tipping.

P.S. I'm the guy holding the fish.

Thanks I caught it on 12lb test using a rapala X-rap jointed shad.

I got that one on the Rideau canal, just north of Kingston.

Here is another one from Lower Rideau Lake just south Perth, (a few years ago though).. now I'm getting about excited about this summer again..It won't be long now...
