Nice fish chibi!

What did you catch that bowfin on?

silver x-rap. i'm not sure of the size... 4"?
we were fishing for pike and somewhere inbetween the bowfin found us.

There was some really big fish caught by alot of ppl on this forum... That awsome for new ppl to see when they join! Shows them that we have ppl that know what there talking about! Good job everybody!

The bowfin like shiny lures for some reason I caught one at Six mile lake on a yellow reflective Agila Mepps spinner try any lure that reflect allot of light and you may get lucky....

A few years ago I took a good friend fishing (bassing) for his first-time, he didn't think he would catch anything right after we got there rofl, I told him to keep fishing ! I was getting hits left & right on a skitter pop, so I knew we were there at the right time (just before dusk). Not even 20 minutes later he lands this beast, on a 5" green pepper stick, "and you thought we weren't going to catch anything !!!" lmao Openfire you may recognize the fish !! lol I thought I lost these pics, but I found them a few months ago. The fish was massive, it felt at least like a 7 lber maybe even a 8 lb. fish, the pic just doesn't do justice. I tried holding it for photos, the thing would just keep on going balistic, I've never held a fish powerful enough, I couldn't lip it properly !! ended up taking a pic of it beside my buddy (hes over 6 ft. tall) for size comparison, it was at least a foot & a half long. Amazing to see my buddy catch THAT on his first time out !!!
