Hi, Marty here. I did some fishing as a kid in MB - mostly pike. I just bought my first license in ON last year. My son enjoys fishing with me in our canoe. I hope to be able to spend a bit more time fishing in the next year. I would love to learn more about fishing for bass and smaller fish.

Hi everyone, my name is Nick I'm new here and I'm sure I'm not the only one here that feels this winter has just dragged on for way too long. I'm going stir crazy waiting to get out on the water, fortunately tomorrow I'm going with my son down towards the Niagara area for some trout or over to the Erie side and maybe hook onto a nice walleye, just a little something to take away the itch until I can get out on the boat for some bass in June. I don't know about the rest of you but it's been an expensive winter browsing the sites and those ever too frequent visits to the stores getting everything ready for the coming season, many new rods and reels this year and not to mention the baits and line and what have you, I've spent a bundle this winter, all the new gear I have this year has felt like comfort food to me.

Well everyone time to stop yappin I don't want to write a novel here that would have everyone snoozing by the end of it.

Good luck on the water this year guy/gals and remember to post your pics I would love to see the monsters everyone catches.

Bye

Hi guys my name is Mark and I have been hooked  on fishing ever since I landed my first sunfish from the dock at my cottage at the young age of 5. I'm now 22 and caught the biggest fish of life last year, a 20+ pound pike from the same lake in muskoka that I started fishing on. I say 20+ pounds because it bottomed out an old brass spring scale that only went up to 20lbs. That was the highlight of my summer last year and I'm looking foward to catching more fish this year with the help of this forum.

Hey everyone...My name is Marc too....glad to join the group. Looks like a good spot to share some info. Looking forward to walleye, only a month and a bit to go. Sweet!

I live in Claremont and fish mostly for walleye, pike and bass(largies). A bit of fly fishing for summer trout is always a good time too.

Hi All,

My name is Kong. Yes as in King Kong  . I been fishing for along time but still consider a rookie fishing for numerous species. I like to fish for walleye, panfish, pike, muskies, and pretty much anything that swims or willing to bite my line. Lately I try to get out at least once a week to wet a line. I live in the North York area but willing to travel anywhere to fish.

Hi. I've been gone so long, I feel like a new member... especially since everything looks so different!! Love it openfire, great job. Do I still qualify for a welcome wagon gift?

I get the feeling there are a lot of new members since I was here last, so I'll introduce myself. I love to fish, but especially from float tubes or kickboats. Up to last year, I fished primarily for bass, but last year I learned to love pike too. I have dreams (literally) of catching a huge muskie from my pontoon, but those dreams usually end with me being towed around the lake and then the line snapping. This tells me that 2008 is the year to change how that dream ends! :?

So... hi again to everyone, new and old members alike!
