Hi,my name is Byron from Toronto. I am hoping to do some fishing this season - past few years I was too busy with work. In the past I mostly fish the Trent river system and lakes. Went a few times salmon fishing on Lake Ontario with charter boat from Port Credit

Hey,

My name is Tyson, I live in Hamilton, I've been fishing ever since I was little. Slowly over the years it became a growing hobby which I try to do as much of as possible. I usually fish for crappies, perch, bass and walleyes. I want to get into fishing for pike but have yet to catch one. Hopefully I can do that this summer. I'm glad to be apart of this site and look forward to further fishing discussions with everyone.

Hi everyone, My name is Tim and I am from Brantford Ontario. While I love fishing the great lakes that are close to me for things like Perch and Bass, one of my favorite weekend passtimes is just grabbing my rod and tackle and taking the short walk from my apartment down to the Grand River. I have caught Bass, Trout, catfish, carp and all kinds of things from her....nothing quite like it. :?:

Hi folks, I’m Bill. I’m in the west end of Toronto. I came 18 months ago to Toronto after 25 years in The Netherlands. I was born just south of here in Ohio. But since 1984, I’ve spent 11 days in the states. So I’m no “bloody yank” either. I’ve fished consistently from 27 months of age when I first walked out on the ice, and wanted to stay longer than my father. All of it being fresh water. Now, I’m finally in paradise. However, until this season I have been limited to Grenadier Pond, the Islands, and the Grand River. All of them bus accessible. So I’m looking forward to your inner-city info. Now transportation has been secured. A 25 year old BMW R100RT. I’m a BMOA and Airheads motorcycle organizations member. Our basic motto; We wrench our own. Next is the Ontario driver’s license. I’ve spent most my work life as a welder, including civil and military aircraft piping. I also build furniture and cabinetry at home.
I’ve set myself up with a 4/5 weight fly gear, and look forward to playing with that for the first time since a teenager. I never meet a fish I wouldn’t try to catch so I’m up for any species. I’m spin equipped too. But I’m still a shore fisher, and probably for a long time to come. Or at least until an inflatable pontoon can be packed on a bike.
I’ll get that first report in soon…I hope
Stay dry, Bill

Hello, My name Is Chris McLean. Im twenty three years old and living in Burlington Ontario for the last five years. I have been land locked but still have managed to find some pretty amazing spots if you dont mind a treck, or the odd fellow angler finding you. I have had some early luck this year with speckled/Rainbow trout while i was fishing for pike at the end of March, weird catching them on a big storm plug. I was hoping to meet some cool people on hear and have someone to shoot the breeze with about fishing in general, you all seem like a pretty tight group and im glad to be on board. As soon as i find out how to get my pic on here I will, I just cant seem to shrink them enough, lol. Anyways give me a shout anytime guys I have some great pools in Oakville for trout, and the trout I cought in late March was off the shore at Lasalle Park/Marina In Burlington. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Hi everybody:

This is Alexander, and I have been fishing in Southern Ontario for a couple decades now. I do quit a bit a ice fishing, and some boat fishing in the summer time. For the rest of the tiems I usually fish from shore whenever I get the opportunity. Frankly speaking, the GTA and closer inland lakes around us have been over fished, and it is rather difficult to show children the skills and fun within an hour drive these days. It is almost time for the stream trout, and since I live fairly close to Duffins, Bowmanville, Wilmot Creeks I will be wetting my line soon in one of these streams. Hopefully I can be of some contribution to this Forum in the future. Tight lines! :)

Hey Fishers! My name is Jason and I am from Pickering. We have a cottage up in the Kawartha's on Balsam Lake. Mainly fish bass and pickerel but also get the occasional Muskellunge. Think this fourm is a great idea and cant wait to start fishing.
