Name is Eric. Just moved into Milton and looking forward to introducing fishing to my 11, 6 and 5 year olds to fishing. Used to fish every weekend when I was single.
Found this board via Google when I was searching for fishing information for Kelso Conservation Park.

I just found this site today by doing a google search for "Ontario Fishing Forums" and it looks very helpful. I live in South Dakota, USA, but enjoy the nice private lakes and streams up north. I have gone fishing a couple times in Manitoba at Kisseynew Lake and I really enjoyed it because of the secluded area and the northern pike and pickerel would bite on anything but I think its time for something new. I'm looking for a backwoods environment, meaning no campgrounds that can be reached by driving (willing to portage a boat) and I can setup a tent for a week or so and just fish like crazy. Fishing Lake Trout would be nice as I have never done that before. Can anyone recommend a few lakes or streams that I can start to research? Trout Lake appears to be nice?
Thanks!

Hello OFF members.
My name is Garry with two R's or Garry2rs or just 2R's for short...grin.
I have 40 or 50 years of fishing experience, and learned of this board from a friendly and helpful angler on Kosh Lake today.
During the summer I live in the North Kawarthas, where I do a little guiding...mostly for Bass. In the winter I "Snowbird" it down to Arizona, where I continue to fish for Bass, but don't guide.
I will now try to make a fishing report...
Garry2rs
Welcome!
We sure will get a lot of great inputs from you .
Which method of transportation do you use to get to Arizona, PHX?

Not to mention that there are lower priced brands. Then there's the lower price of chicken, pork, eggs, and cheese. I live so much cheaper down there, plus I don't have to own a winter coat...HAHAHA.

Over the 13 years on the river, I've tried to observe river aquatic life and am always amazed. Reason for joining is to share my experiences on the river, and find out what others are doing and finding. I've just got my 14ft alumn. fishing boat powerd by something that will get me up (down?) into Simcoe, after having just an electric troller for the past 5 years.
I was really shocked (Aug 2009) at how bad Cooks Bay has become for weeds. The new Smog creating "Peaker Power Plants" now to be built south of the lake sure won't help with the poor health of the Lake- or the Air. They are only 30 percent effecient and the rest of thier output will be in the form of SMOG and particulate. What a shame to have a yellow smog cloud over Simcoe and Northern York Region.
I am patial to L.M.Bass in the River. Most in my area of "the Lower Landing" are what I call "Stunted Growth", but I have pulled out some large ones and I know some monsters are found in there. I return everything I catch to the water except some Bullfins and Carp.
Looking forward to sharing my findings- and reading yours.

My name is Vicky, from Brampton, fishing is a kind of new hobby for me and I can say I am absolute beginner, I used to catch small fish on earthworm from a small canal near my home in North India and store them in my aquarium till they die because of the bleach in water. But that was when I was 13 yrs old.
I always wanted to do fishing but due to the region i live in sometimes there was no fish and most of the times there was no water
Just Found this forum and believe I can meet new people here and learn something from them.
