Hey guys I work across the street from Le baron and often stop on my way home at BPS, Le baron has good/decent prices on everything and stock is good also if you become a member for $25 you get 10% off everything not on sale which is pretty good if you go often like myself. Its like costco some deals are great others are cheaper at i.e fortinos, etc...

For example I picked up a minn kota endura 55 for $267 + $60 rebate and a free $50 reel, while the deal at BPS is $299 + $60 rebate...either way both good stores I've got to stop buying stuff been going to both at least 2-3times a week for the last 1.5 months!!!!!!!

Nice, So what your saying is Lebaron isn't that bad of a store? Awsome! I didn't think they were so bad. Ive just heard alot of negative things about them but if you say it's worth going then I will take your advise.

went there for a real quick pitstop today. their service is good, and i think some of the brand name lure prices went down due to the high canadian dollar. my fave artificial went from 6.27 to 5.94...30 cents..but sure felt good to pay for less.

In the past few years their customer service has really dropped off. It seems like they're resting on the name they've made for themselves. I'd much rather spend my money at Bass Pro or Fishing Depot...

Biggest Peeve with BPS is the fact that the us Deals are so much better for example some reel which was advertised on Basspro us site was like $ 49.00 while in the Vaughn location they wanted $ 79.00 for the same exact reel. I have a friend who trucks across the boarder so I usually ask him to pickup the stuff for me from US as it is much cheaper.

Just my two cents BPS is not all bad but you can sometimes get comparable pricing at Lebaron to the Us prices at BPS in the US

The markham place used to have horrible service like 5 years ago, clueless employees, bad attitudes, they've since cleaned up their act bigtime ! Good deals too from time to time.

Not sure about the clueless employees because I myself is clueless, so I don't know what clueless is.
BUT bad attitudes? yes. It sure isn't good attitude.

Lebarons did get lazy before BPS was around, they were one of the biggest around, but now...service is good and prices are fair. And its a Canadain Store!
Id spend the extra 10% if I had to, just to keep them around.

Thats another reason I shop there is because it is a Canadian Store, right now my purchases are 30% BPS 70% Le Baron. I'm sure I'll need more stuff this year as always.....

I'm speaking more so of the owners (yes I know them), their business ethics are terrible. When their dad was still owner, it was great but I feel they've ruined the business. Very similar to Wal-mart in regards to the pressure they put on their suppliers in regards to other fishing stores. Also they seem to cater to their Montreal & Ottawa clientele more favourably than their GTA ones.
