I recently did pickup the spinning rod and reel they had on special at Crappy tire the reel and rod are both 79.99 reg price The rod is a Fenwick Higlander 2 rod and the reel is an abu garcia cardinal 500 ALB 10 bb reel. I am impressed with the rod but especially with the reel as it is an al metal construction no plastic or graphite parts and looks to be sturdy.

both the rod and reel were individually priced at 39.99
