That is very helpful. Anyone know how to maintain a baitcaster? Is it worth it to pay someone to clean/lube it for you?

I find it's easy to take appart but hard to put back together. This will help. I usually take a q tip take the spool off and try to get all the sand and dirt out that I can see, then a little oil in the key areas and I'm done.
