How do you keep you tackle organized. I keep mine in a large tackle box and have specific plastic boxes for weights, hooks, shallow crank baits, deep crank baits etc.

Mine's still pretty messy but I started to label all the spots in my tackle box. Helps to keep lures organized by depth. I need to get some small boxes for some of the smaller stuff.

mine is total mess.

hooks on lures all tangled up and such.

I have like 10 spoons in one big tangle mess.

I have bought way way way way way way too many spoons back when i first started tossing spoons for salmon and have never caught any fish on most of the spoons. Now that I've learned, all I needed was one or two spoons.

Geez,,, such a waste of money.

I use the soft bag with the palastic trays too.. I usually organize everthing the night before, Everything looks great, but when I get back after a day of fishing... it's a mess again.. but at that time, it doesn't really matter..

the lure I just took off my line usually goes in the slot when the next lure comes from..

I've seen those hook covers too, but I've never used them.

I have a larger box, wich is often a mess, but then when I am going out without a boat, then I use smaller plastic trays and my napsack, just bringing along the things I need. Keeps me moving and fishing more.

I do the same, sometimes tho when changing lures I put them on teh top of the large tackle box then re organize them after the trip or before a new trip.

I have my trusty ol pal 3 level tacklebox.

Top is floating, middle is diving lures, bottom is spoons and heavyweights.
At the very bottom I have 2 little plano boxes I use for all of my leaders, hooks, sinkers, and crap.

I hang the wet lures off the edge of the box until dry, then put em back.

If you are like me and have a lot of tackle, the best way is to have boxes with a specific purpose. Have a box for weights - one that has many small compartments, one for shallow diving crank baits, one for deep diving crankbaits, one for spinners, etc. this way you can see not only what you have, but be able to make a choice easily as to you lure of choice, and you know where it goes when your finished. I like to use the flambeau containers that contain Zerust which help the lures from rusting. By having things in boxes, you can decide what your going to lug to your fishing spot and leave the stuff your not going to use at home. The hardest part is organizing the miscellaneous stuff like plyers, scent, stringers, etc into a proper area.
