The post was started in 2008, it just keeps getting bumped. The forum rules have changed, since then. I'm sure that there are other old posts that name, names too.

I hear you though, jrocksthehip.  I used to have a spot for Specks on the head-waters of a western trib. A few years ago I started to notice that there were always people there when before there had been none. I found out why. Some shittehead had made a video and posted it on youtube giving the name of the stream and exact directions to the spot. Fishing declined so much and the fish got smaller and smaller, that I haven't even gone there for 2 years now.

I'm glad the current rules are now in place, too bad youtube doesn't have them also.

PMing is the way to go that way you can give locations to people you trust. Since becoming a member of this forum I have shared some locations with others and in return have been given some very good locations to fish. That being said, I do not give out my Speck spots even on PM. You have to come to my house and pick me up and then be blindfolded until we arrive at the stream

Alfie.

Well Said Bro.New to this replying thing but not new to fishing. never gave away spots. but told a few locals at a certain West Trib about Browns i saw yesterday. Looks like i will have to pick u up on of these good fishing days.   :D

I got Some Direct Spots on the nith for Pike and Bass one of my buddy give to me who is living in Plattsville. As many fishing pros on this forum would say, do the leg work and it will pay off. Yesterday i trailed a West trib for 8 hrs. walked in waders for more than 5 kms to look for Browns. Found alot but didn't hook any cause a Salmon snapped my rod tip. but enjoyed the hike upstream.

The Nith River is the exception to the rule. The more people who show up there, the more people end up getting eaten by Nithy. It actually curbs the population of fisherman.
