I'm at 1 Pike & 1 trout "very decent" so far this year that's in three trips in T.O. 2/3

But now the gear is put away till April 30th, just waiting tick tock tick tock hahaha!

Location location location, big lake like we have here they will always find the IDEAL habitat, clear water & plenty of food etc.

Find that and your set. Muddy water move on.

The year was not bad over all went out for 2 hours for pike but got skunked the panfish have been slow but stedy for me that's even from a boat. Went to keswick today in search of some crappie and try the boat but all I hooked into were some small perch. It was cold but was just happy to hear the motor run. :)

Since I am not into ice fishing because the few times I did try it I only caught a wicked buzz and no fish to show for.

Season started in late Feb I guess when there was open water for Pike. Managed 4 during all my outings.

Waiting for some panfish action soon. Then hooking into some big bass, walleye and musky up at the cottage.

Would be nice to see pics from some of the reports claiming action.

Dirk....

no worries, once the season progresses, the reports and pics usually start piling up. :)
i'm hoping to add quite a few to the southeast section.

I've been out about 10 times... a few times for Pike at Frenchman's, and a few times for Steelhead at Duffins, down at the river mouth, and up by Annandale golf course. I haven't trekked anywhere far yet cause of the messed up weather, but I'm looking forward to opener at the end of the month. I figure if my luck continues with Steelhead, I'll head up to Beaverton and fish for perch, even though the last time I went up (last year) it was ridiculously busy.

i have been out 15 times mid jan to april 08
ice fishing lake simcoe once - 26 perch
14 times lake ontario (bluffers park to humber river) toronto islands - 1 carp online twice.
have seen over 40 pike, 8 trout, 4 carp...
i have enjoyed being out at the lake every moment...even the cold ones...
get out and fish...just be careful around the seasonal dangers with water...do not take unecessary risks.
