preston lake

i'm going fishing on preston lake tomorrow and have no idea what to use as bait/lures

any help is appreciated,Will

Thats the small lake that had the largest LMB record in Canada! From previous discussions, it was very hard to get access to these waters without getting kicked out!
And I think the main fish in there is LMB, so I dont know what youre going to catch.....and LMB's are out of season right now..

i believe that lake is surrounded by private property...

you probably have a friend that owns waterfront property there huh?
even if you do get out, i'm sure other landowners are gonna give you earfuls about fishing on that lake.
who knows though...

yeah my friend lives on that lake, we are really just going to hang out and go canoeing but if i get a chance i'll cast out andsee what i catch, and about that record, my friend has been trying forever to beat it, and he got one that was only 2ounces, but talk about huge fish

just did some more research, there are perch, bluegill, sunfish and bass as the main fish in the lake, so i will target perch.

One thing to remember, you can't target bass. They are out of season and even trying to catch one and then immediately release it is illegal. Take pictures........... :cry:

You really gotta ask your friend to take you after bass season opens, then you'll be having fun!

well we caught nothing, but from the canoe i was able to see some large bass in the water swimming, i will definately be going to his house a lot this summeri've never caught a large mouth bass before, only small mouth

Awesome fishing for sure...dont get your hopes up about catching a Bucketmouth though....no doubt its fun, but there's nothing like the power of a P'D off Smallie!!! :mrgreen:

LOL I agree P'D off 4#+ smallies do fight better then their LM counterpart. :lol:
