Nice looking tout. The colour is amazing and the spots look great. Good job. Lets see some posts and more pics and welcome to the board. Where in durham are you? I am in AJAX and get out quite often. A future hookup would be cool. Can show each other some hot spots. Cheers.

I've caught a huge musky out of a canoe doing some trolling for walleye in the moon river. It was so powerful it was holding the boat like a trolling motor in current I'm at work now, but I'll post the pic up when I get home...
OK. the back story...I was in a canoe with my cousin and manning the electric trolling motor. We were trolling taildancers in about 20fow on the Moon basin and I move close towards shore as a larger pleasure boater comes dangerously close to us. As I move out deeper I get, what I believe to be a snag...until I feel a massive headshake. I bring it up after a short fight and my cousin is like "that is the biggest thing I have ever seen." It is scary when you're in a canoe, so close to the water, and you see the beast just underneath you. As we were in a canoe and couldn't land the fish in there because we were afraid she'd thrash and put us in the soup, I move to shore where I quickly pick up the giant musky for a photo op. I didn't get a measurement as she was caught on light tackle and shore landed; so as not to strain the fish, I put her back in the drink quickly..any guesses? I say about 47 inches and fat.
After about one minute of reviving her in the shallows she swam of healthy
....and that my friends was my most random catch.

Hahahaha, right on Dirk, good eye. I forgot that I had wet feet for the rest of the day. I'm such a stikler when it comes to releasing big brutes like this; I was concerned about the exhausting fight on the light tackle. So no time to take of the shoes...just get in the water and and get her back home. lol.

nice fish, something about that first picure makes it look like the muskies head is partially severed, or maybe its just me, now about that story, it may seem random to you, but in the moon river muskies easy to catch, ive caught a small 20" one on just a worm and hook, but then again, ive never fished the basin, it may be different there
