If we can get a bit more of that green going south that will bring the salmon to the piers in the north

Winds coming from the north will push the water at Lake O's north shore down south, bringing up cooler water to replace it. I think it's called a turn over or something.

Exactly. Too bad I usually have to wait so long on the south shore that I miss the salmon deadline all together. I am not messing up my time spent on the water like last year

Anyone still planning on hitting the mouth of the port credit tomorrow morning between 5-6AM? Even if it's not for salmon, even if you're not guaranteed anything?

Let me know, wouldn't mind still going.

Was fishing with a buddy at Sheldon Lookout for fun, saw A BUNCH of massive fish jumping out of the water not far from us, not sure what they were, they were white/silver though from what I could tell. There was an asian guy there and he accidentally caught a 8-9ish lb carp who ran into his lure and got caught by the tail. Helped him land it with my net but before I could the guy slipped and fell and broke his fall on his rod, breaking his rod lol, poor guy he was happy yet disappointed.

Oh yeah, also, finally picked up some J-13's!!

Got the silver version and the orange version. These things better be as fool-proof and wicked-awesome as everyone brags :|

lol they can work pretty well, especially later in the season. The orange one was like a godsend last year when the water was murky and the fish were holding close to shore.

Just don't cry if your line break with a brand new expensive lure.

3/0 to 4/0

The trebles with the spoons are not that good. The single siwash sppons will penetrate right through.

Keep and eye on the ring also some are too thin.

Thank you, which way do you put on the siwash hooks?with the hook bend facing up or down when the spoon is positioned with its coloured side up like in the pictures in the OP?

From my experience, you want the hook point to face the silvery side of the spoon.
