I think you should wait about another month, You'll know when they're in when reports start coming in.

This is that magical time of year. Early mornings, chilly breezes, watching first light, salmonoid insanity. <3 LOL

Hey guys,
I'm a novice fisherman living in bowmanville. I own a mojo musky 8'6 xheavy with a Abu ambassador kalex reel, lined with 50 lb braid. This is my brand new musky twig, and I am hoping to have it double as a pier casting setup for early salmon. Does pier casting only work at the credit because of the huge pier? I haven't had any luck inn bowmanville yet (last few years) with casting spoons.

I also have a kvd bait caster lined with 30 lb braid on a bass pro musky 6'6 heavy. I have had success with mepps #2 with salmon in creeks in September. Any one thnk my musky inline spinners and jerk baits/body baits would work?

I know lake trout eat hug cisco , do salmon eat small bait fish or would they be interested in something bigger?

The heaviest bait I can use means longer casts = more fish? Are the salmon in tight to a normal casting distance or when I'm throwing a bulldawg a country mile.

How far out do you float the skein before the salmon hit them.

Thanks

Sorry for the double post but i was just curious, i know it probably doesn't make a huge difference, but where on the mouth do you usually fish? You can go all the way down from that street where the starbucks is or you can go on the other side behind that really expensive restaurat haha, forgot what its called, but yeah, were exactly do you find most effective if it even makes a difference
