What is your best fishing experince? What made it best (size of fish, number of fishes caught, the place, fishing buddy, or how you caught it)

For me the best was the first! My brother and I were trying a river for two days with no luck and even worse, just before we head home (with no fish of course), our line got hung up to a rock or something. We found a broken long tree branch and used it to lift the line & release it. After some struggle, the line got released and we saw a big fish is hanging from our hook as well. We were so excited and happy for the first fish that we were showing it to everyone! And that's how I got hooked, some 20 years ago!

Myns gotta be that brown trout I caught not too long ago. I was drifting in fast/deep water with 2 single eggs and my float goes down above were a few people said they saw a fish and i'm like ok another salmon. I'll just show off a bit and once I see the head i'm like whoah! It's a cartoon version of a salmon! Then I realized I had a big male brown so I set the hook again to make sure the hook is in deep. Then all those memories of me losing big fish starts rushing in my head so I yell out to some guy downstream to help me land it and once I got it to shore the creepiest stuff started happening that you don't normally see with other trout. The fish burped and i'm just like shad up! Then it's skin shivered like a snake! Creepy? Now comes the hard part. I used my wading belt as a stringer and put it on my shoulder as I walked through all those anglers that looked surprised. I almost stepped on a few salmon, but I didn't care cuz of what I just achieved. Then I hear two guys yelling out to me to come show them the fish. I knew these guys from last month they taught me a few things about float fishing and now they were swearing at why I kept such a beautiful fish. I really didn't mind hanging with them cuz there was a really hot blonde behind them so i'm like ok it won't happen again lol!

I had a 4" shiner for bait and landed my cast perfectly beside the log in the river. Almost instantly the bass hit it. I set the hook and the fight was on! It was big and fighting hard when, slack line, darn, I lost it. I realed in and to my surprise, my shiner had been replaced with a half digested frog. The bass had regurgitated to try for freedom and it worked. Not wanting to touch that half digested frog, I cast it to the log again, and wham, another hard hit. This time he was hooked good and about 5 minutes and three jumps later I had the biggest smallmouth of my life 231/2" about 5 lbs.
Then there was the time I caught two fish on one cast with a rapala...another story another time.....
After 40 years of fishing i have lots of stories, great memories and a ton of fun!

Dude, that's pretty sad if your best fishing memory/experience is other anglers swearing at you for killing a healthy spawner.

i think everyones bashed pedro enough, its clear that he obviously wont take anyones serious advice seriously. he is "old" enough to make his own decisions and i think he has by keeping the same negative attitude towards fellow fishermen and fishery itself. its pointless trying to talk sense into someone that chooses not to listen, itd be easier to teach a dog how to do cartwheels on a skateboard while fetching a tennis ball in a play place. like i said jaywalking is illegal and everyone does it. sooner or later though you will get hit. karma its a facinating thing.

hmmmmm, all the bigger fish i catch nowadays come to mind.

But i have to say, my most memorable experience was in the Humber river when i was like 9. Me and my pals would catch suckers up in james gardens. Once, i went by my self in the morning and caught a lot of suckers. it was fun, was using bread and crayfish. it was rainy. i got a rainbow right as i was thinking about leaving and it blew my mind. it was small like maybe 1lb but whacked that bread ball like nobodies business. i was like "oh cool... a hard fighting sucker! and then i saw it and still thought it was just a strange sucker. but when i put my thumb in its mouth i knew it wasn't a sucker. left a neat row of holes in my thumb. i let it go after a quick examination.

for me it used to be a memory from many years ago, catching a catfish with my dad. That's been surpassed now by a holiday a few years ago where me and my best friend helped our kids catch sunfish off a dock in Huntsville. The kids loved it.
