Hi everyone how many rainbows can you keep if you fishing in PIER? Please let me know

If I'm not mistaken, standing on a pier would put you in zone 16/17 not zone 20. So your limits on Rainbow Trout would be: S-2 C-1

My understanding is that if you are casting in the river/creek side of the pier, it is 2. If you turn your back and cast into the lake side of the pier, then it is 5!

Getin is correct!

I looked into this and it turns out that there is an imaginary line that runs across the mouth of the river, parallel to shore. If you are facing the lake, thus casting beyond this line, then zone 20 limits apply.

Just curious, has anyone here ever landed 5 rainbows in one day on the pier -- casting into the lake?

I've never accomplished this personally, but I've seen it done at the mouth of a well known trib, where the guy was casting roe/egg-sinker into the lake in the spring. (not on a "pier" though)

I have not achieved this too myself but saw two persons doing that. One hooked 5 and landed 4 while I was there. The other hooked 12!! and landed 5 in about 3 hours. He is going to give me some of his secret bait so if I try it with success I will let you know
