Hey all,
Getting the itch to get out and try my luck with the steelhead again soon. Anyone have any condition updates on the Nottawasaga River up near Wasaga Beach? It will probably be a bit later for that ice to break up than at the Credit, Bronte, etc, correct?

it all depends for the break up... if this weekends warm rain melts the snow and ice fast, chances are it will force a break up and clear out...

Andrew,I'm not sure about knox road wasaga, but around the angus area you really can't fish early in the season as the water levels are so high from the melt off.If your area is different I would not mind trying there in a couple of weeks.Let us know! davey.

If you know of any holes, let me know.

the river just downstream of the dam in alliston is open, but not worth fishing as its really high and murky.

Awesome, thanks for the help guys. We guessed it might be too early to try north. With all this warm weather we're going to have to head out somewhere this weekend though!
