I had to cut 2010 pier fishing short due to health last year...
I am itching to get out there again.
JC53, Jose... have you gone out yet already?
Anyone else?

Can still talk about tactics though...
I have never caught a Salmon casting with spoons, how fast do you retrieve? Is it an as slow as you can retrieve or does a little bit of speed work better?

too slow will make it sink and snagged to the bottom. Need to keep it 1-2 ft above the bottom, so you will figure it out.

I figured you would be starting another salmon pier topic. LOL
Nope have not been out yet but it is getting cooler at night.
I know of a fellow co-worker who caught a big Atlantic but that was @ April or so.
Would not surprise me if there are Atlantics cruising around
Stocked up on J-13ès though. There is another pier around I might try this year.
Still bass fishing, but my pier fishing equipment is already to go.

That's where I started fishing for salmon. Moving here from Nfld in 92'. I heard that they caught salmon so I tried. Caught a 24 lb female. True story. LolMy buddy told me salmon have been caught at the pier on credit.

Let's not share updates with informations you got from others, other than your hands on updates. Thanks.
I'd say let's not share these kind of info at all! I may seem selfish here but I think there should be a difference between those who check a waterbody every other day, try to read the weather, etc and those opportunitist who only appear when they see an internet post like above and it happens that those are the ones that do not respect the fish or the fellow fishermen!

MikeyMikey why so critical about the source of the updates? You can always pretend you didnt read it if you dont like the source.
