Cool
I use a Revo Winch with a St. Croix 9 1/2 ft Avid casting rod. Mikey Mikey recognized me because not many use a baitcaster. I prefer it to a spinning reel.
Be out probably Sunday morning come on over if your are there.
Jose

I have a shimano curado with a 9 1/2 Fetha Styx rod. This is a very common setup in the west coast. Im surprised to see you with it. Are you from the west also?

good job nado you'll probably see 50 guys tomorrow night lol but thanks for sharing

haha true that...im new to fishing just started this year so i made that mistake a few times already. Every time i see someone catch a fish and i tell someone else about it, the next day there are a lot more anglers out there. Anyways, ive caught 5 fish in total this summer and im hoping to catch my first salmon.

Nope been in Ontario for the last 40 years or so.
I get a lot of weird looks because of the bait casting setup.
They are surprised that I can get the same distance as a spinning setup sometimes more

was at port credit today from 5 am to 9 am was not so full theres still casting space but no one caught anything not even a jump tried little cleos, rap j-13's, various spoons. nothing my buddy even tried fishing off the bottom to see if there down there. im second guessing if i should even go back next week or just wait a couple more weeks. i think people are just wasting time right know at port credit and if you do hook into a fish the other non english speaking people (you know who not trying to be racist) they wont even move a foot or reel in their lines last year i hooked into a salmon the dude just cast his lure on my fish and snagged my line i lost the fish he didnt even say sorry just smiled at me i was so mad oh well
all i have to say is right now port credits is really slow

Just caught my first salmon of the year at the Humber marsh. It was insane because I was fishing for carp.

I went through my storage locker and dug out my old 13ft tele and paired it with an even older 70 size reel.
I'm figuring that with a weighted spoon and a decent pendulum beach cast, I should get some serious distance from the rocks.

Its been my previous experinece when I bust this rig out, people tend not to get too close....

Mikey
Only free on the weekends, work weekdays. Maybe one of these days we will run into one another.

Went out his morning. pouring rain going into Miss. but stopped just when I got to the rocks.
Not much action hear and there, spotty at best.
Seen a huge lamprey on one chinook. I wanted to sliced off his head but it slipped off before I got my knife.
Dead anyways he fell in between some rocks.
Nice to see some of the regular boys down there.
