Hey
I had 3 hrs of sleep u can do it too. Bring a chair and and sleep in it, so you can have dibs or a rock lol.
Btw for you pier virgins, make sure you can cast straight. Almost witnessed a fight about guys casting over other lines. Cooler heads prevailed though

I had good intentions this morning to pier fish over at P. Hope, but the weather didn't pan out as expected. Slept in and kept checking the weather forecast for something favorable. Well, it sorta happened. I'm sure you guys were around when the storm came rolling through. I headed out afterwards, but nada. Stayed out until 9:45pm and kept my Cleo glowing. I did end up catching a catfish with a vibrax though. :)

Yes, learn to cast straight.

AGREED.

ALSO!! EVEN IF SPOT ISN'T SO GOOD, GO FIND A SPOT WHERE THERE ARE ROOM. PLEASE DON'T F****ING START CASTING FROM ONE FREAKING ROCK NEXT TO SOMEONE... LEAVE SOME FREAKING BREATHING ROOM darn IT! HAVE SOME MANNERS,RESPECT AND MOVE TO ELSE WHERE.

OH YEAH.... FINALLY, SOME DICKS LIKE TO TAKE SPOT WHILE I GO NET MY FISH BY MYSELF WHILE U DICK(S) WATCH ME STRUGGLE. YOU (#*%)@(*$ !

i can never stop saying this...i got no problem netting the fish for you with my net but seriously... why the F* do you not bring a F* net?
And those that doesn't even offer to ask if assist is need...? hope you break you snag and break your line!! (i felt like being little bit evil today)

Phew` I feel better.

So weekends sound insane. whats mid week pre-dawn like, less crazy or is it all the same while the run is on?
I have the option of fishing mid-week overnight, I'm wondering if this might be better.

Mikey, sounds like you eat to fatten up your belt line. lol

The bigger you are, the more space you will have around you or you can just cast like a crazy person. Give your rod a 360 degree spin before each cast. If you hit someone beside you that moved there, that should teach them a lesson. If they have no courtesy towards giving you space, make a reason for them to. :)

LOL the 360 cast sounds like a good idea, I might start doing that when I see people approaching my spots.

with a 13ft beachcaster, a full pendulum cast in a populated area would be more likely to add a human ear teaser to my presentation than anything esle..... I was figuring on having to employ a brighton cast due to restricted space.

lol mike do you remember last year its just like that. people casting in your spot and they dont care lol its better time to go in port credit is early morning and week days week end is too crowded. if you go there in week days its less crowded and you are in peace fishing in port. i remember last year a old guy stole my spot twice when he see i got landed a salmon in that spot lol and i fell in the water my shoes got wet last year because of that old man lol  i change my schedule lol week ends is better to fish in port not week ends lol have fun guys

yeah i hate when ignorant people do that mostly from the redneck version of all cultures.

the best thing you can do is throw rocks in that area and walk away :)

btw nice fish mikey.

Wow sounds like a person needs to have a security escort to fish at the Credit River. Lol or just bring the louisville slugger. Lol

Run has not started, so stay home and don't loose your sleep.
It's just some random fish that happen to be there at a wrong time.

It's a picture of me trying to get it out the net.

I also noticed a lot more... new? fishermen? Not new as in new to here/salmon fishing but new to fishing. You could tell by newbie alike casting, launching their whole body while casting? casting top piece of his rod out with the lure? (hahahaha), reeling in those spoons so fast as if they just want to make a another cast? ... well i guess everybody gotta start and learn somewhere.

Also, one of the most underrated spot IN THE CITY is mouth of Humber River. Seriously... I've never seen shoulder to shoulder here, has plenty fish*, those who haven't should try this location.

Finally, I say goto Bronte if you can *wink*wink*.

I Took A Walk With My Dog And Couldnt Believe The Amount of People Fishing. It Was Like An Army Of "Idiots" Trying Thier Luck. And I Do Agree With P.O.D about people desperate of catching one. Also The Main Thing Us Fisherman Forget To "Share" A Spot. Ive seen some people that hog the spots or deliberately stir trouble(i.e tangling lines, the 360 cast, or casting behind people to reclaim my spot, cutting tangled lines of that of another person etc).

ive only seen this behaviour only in toronto and out east and i hate to say it but race/ignorance plays a huge roll in creating these problems.

like i said if someone tries to take your spot just throw a couple of rocks and leave for another location.
