I took a walk through this morning, there were a few people on the rocks, but almost 50 boats just off the harbour. I did not see anyone land anything in the hour or so I was walking around.

Thanks for update Blair.

Thank you even more for picking up those garbages.

Garbage bins are usually on the path to their car yet it is absolutely amazing how LAZY! some people are.

Funny thing was the landing percentage, about 1/10
I personally had on (2) and lost both.

1. For about 30 seconds, spit hook

Another good reason to throw hardware, you'll land most of the fish that don't spool you.

Dilligaf0220 is right about losing fish while "plunking'. I hope he wasn't plunk fishing. In southern Ontario Plunk fishing is pretty much you know what lol. I go to a river mouth and see all these fisherman hoping a salmon will run into their line. Too bad they don't even know how flossing with weights really work, which is why they always end up losing so many.

Fish properly son!

EAST TRIB REPORT (Thurday night into Friday Morning)

Went out on Thurday night with 2 friends.
Since wednesday storm was certainly hoping the rains would drive in more salmon from outside of the Piers.

Weather was nice, mostly clear night.
Water was dirty of course, due to rain the day before.

The action was general SLOW.
Only about 1 fish per hour being hooked.

Funny thing was the landing percentage, about 1/10
I personally had on (2) and lost both.

1. For about 30 seconds, spit hook
2nd got crossed with guy who was down about 60 yrds talking to buddy. (Didnt have time to get line out)

The fish are there, just not in great numbers yet.
Hope we get some more rain and slightly cooler temps.

Best to all!

ps: I cleaned up tons of Timmy's and Plasitc bottles.
The garbage can is only 50 ft away.

SHAME ON YOU!
Please clean up, it only takes a second is the RIGHT THING to DO!

Yeah, and sadly a number of these people having been fishing for some time now...you'd think they would be the ones telling people to throw their trash away but they are the ones leaving it behind. I don't mind picking up someone's else garbage every now and then but when they leave pieces of fishing lines behind, well....&%$*

a lot depends on what lb line you are using, when you throw cleos on 30+ lb line there is no way you going to get spooled out. A lot of guys guys are using 10-15 pound line, so when the fish goes for deep water away from you (and i'm not talking going somewhere to the side) and picks up speed it's almost impossible to turn it around, just have to break off.
