Another great carp bait/chum is wild bird seed. The next time you are at the dollar store pick up a couple of packages. The night before you go fishing empty a package into a suitable plastic container. Fill it to about an inch over top of the bird seed with hot tap water. Seal it and let it sit over night. You can throw it in for chum or add some flour to it so the you can make balls of it to throw in or put on a method feeder. Cheap and easy.
