I usually get a fish on every drift because I am a very experienced angler. I am very experienced because I am fortunate to spend a lot of time fishing. than 10 minutes on 6lb line. My guiding service, on average, will be around 2 to 3 couple of hours.

Wow a fish on every drift. I would make bets u don't

I am fortunate to know pools for brook trout, brown trout, steelhead and salmon that are full of fish because these pools are rarely fished. Dropping the right bait in these pools indeed produces a fish on every drift, or close to.

Never said I could do so under any conditions - that would be physically impossible.

I also know spots for bass where there are so many bass, quite often every cast produces a fish.

You can't have "fish after fish" fishing everywhere, all of the time. Find enough honey holes, though, and you can enjoy constant action too when you fish them.

Common sense is not always as common as one would like .

I've seen videos posted on Ontario fish forums of guys catching walleye on every cast - and walleye are notoriously elusive. Doing so in relatively small pools of hungry trout is not hard, it's mostly finding these pools that presents a challenge and then having your basics down pat (proper drag, strong knot, proper hook size, good line, realistic presentation, timing hook set correctly, etc). Fresh run aggressive salmon too will strike on almost every drift!

Nice...
If that were the case, the guide service would focus on fishing in sanctuaries.
No fishing pressure...easy fishing, hook-ups every drift.

Will be taking a few groups out over the next week or two.

The idea is to share in the joy of the sport.

Will not be making this into a regular service - but I have a bit of time to do it now.

Headwaters will be closing in a couple of weeks - my original intention was salmon but then I figured some people haven't experienced resident trout fishing and maybe would like to.

It's a fact of life that if you are trying to do something of significance - you will draw criticism. Never thought taking a few groups out fishing would, though. You guys deserve a pat on the back! I salute you!

I think everyone just had a bit of a field day with the "usually get a fish on every drift... Very experienced" line.

I'm sure you do know certain waterways good enough to catch lots of fish. It just might have come across the wrong way to some, and some made light of it.

Best of luck, hopefully you can meet lots of new friends, catch lots of fish, and make a couple bucks at the same time. (dream job)

Id be careful on guiding your secret spots...remember that anyone that you take to these spots can go fish them anytime...a big price to pay ($30 for 3 hours) to give up your favorite honey holes. Lets say you take four different guys to one of your holes. A week after they decide to go there with 2 of their buddies each...before you know it your honey hole away from the crowds isnt away from the crowds anymore. 2 years down the road your pools that were so stacked arent so stacked anymore. Not trying to deter your guiding, just pointing out how it Will effect your spots.

Just sedate your clients, then they will come-to and not know how they got there...
I guess you will need to sedate them on the way out too then?

Business is business lol

My apologies salmonrutta...again i am not trying to discourage you. UNfortunately i have seen the damage that over fishing can do to small rivers. I'd just hate to see your special places destroyed, for a few hundred bucks a year.
This will be the last you hear from me on this thread.

I think you've mistaken me for salmotrutta. Would've been funny if he said business is business lol!

I think it's his choice if he wants his clients fishing his spots. Even if he wants to make a few bucks out of it. I can tell it's a lot better than posting around the Internet where the poachers lurk.

I was going to type something else, but i decided not to, and forgot to pull the quote.

I'd be impressed if his guiding service can pull off more steelhead than you float drifter, but there's the benefit of the doubt.

Exactly what I implied. Some pretty bold, and arrogant guarantees in those advertisements. Should rent a billboard.
