Im going to the credit river tomorrow to fly fish for some steel head, any suggestions on what might be good to use?

Sucker spawn, gloe bugs, nymphs black.

I was out for a couple of hours on the credit ...snow or something was falling.I was swingin some stuff big ugly black and red patterns.but no takers,so I started drifting nymphs

A late salmon took a sucker spawn of mine but it was very black. Other than that, no luck.

looks like it's time to explore new spots...where are they holding etc.
what type of presentation and patterns are you using
I tie way too many flies and find it necessary (as an intermediate tier)to understand how my patterns perform...so I am constantly changing flies...not the most productive way to catch fish I find but I have a good time.
