I think the most colorful fish appear when the temps drop.
"The Colors in the Cold"
Nice Pictures! I really like the one of that "camo" brown. It's so orange.
Brown trout are beautiful aren't they?
Check out this rezzy I caught

Beautiful pics and obviously ... Nice fish!
This one has the "HEAD of a BROWN" (Mouth) but the Silver of a Bow?
Is it just a Buck Bow or are their Browns that can be as Silver as this one?
Anyone that thinks this is funny (lack of "identity Knowledge") ... I will post a pic that 30 guys couldnt come up with the same answer!

Blair,
The silver buck was def a bow.
Thanks ... I really did figure that ..... the head really has that BULL DOG Brown shape.
Guess. ... since their all in the same species, of course there would be simulairities.
*SMILES* okay here's a TEST:... what fish is this?: (and Male or Female)
- how big (lengh, weight)
- Where was it caught
- How old is it
- What was it's last meal

rainbows
My 99% percent guess as well!
It really was a TRICK QUESTION.
Both picks are the same fish.
I caught this one the other week while out night fishing for chrome.
It swalled the hook (Roe bag) very deep and I was forced to Keep it.
Originally, I was a bit "Worried" that it was an ATLANTIC cause it did look different than the typical bows I was catching.
Needless, no matter what it may have been, I did have to keep it.
I posted the Pic on another site asking what they thought and did get varied answers.
Goes to show that, sometimes it really can be hard to identify.
(The spots on the tail) are supposed to be the real teller.
- There were no clips or tags
As for weight, bait, location ... those really were secondary, I was just playin around.
- about 4lbs
- Roe bags
- Local Trib
As a point of interest, when I caught the fish ... my camera's batteries had died (At least for flash at night) and I didnt have a chance to take until I got home. Amazing how the same fish can look totally different. (Angle, Flash)
The same night I caught this one, I managed about 1/2 dozen others - all 100% bow (4 lb range as well - 100% Catch & Release).
* later in season, bigger ones seem to move in at this location
ps: Was using BARBLESS HOOKS
(Sometimes when they swallow, just cant do anything more, other than not fish and that sure isnt going to happen)
Did batter it up and tasted great!

I think this has been posted already, but I forgot. If the fish was indeed an Atlantic salmon and it couldn't survive, do you have to take it or do you have to release it back hurt?
As to the Regulations:
Aggregate Limits for Trout and Salmon – In addition, throughout the province there are standard aggregate limits for all species of trout and salmon in combination. You may only catch and keep in one day or possess no more than five trout and salmon in total under a Sport Fishing Licence (S – 5) or two trout and salmon in total under a Conservation Fishing Licence (C – 2). NOTE: In addition to the aggregate limit, you may not exceed individual species limits where they are otherwise stated (e.g., the S limit for Atlantic salmon is one and you may not catch and keep or possess more than one Atlantic salmon at any time).
Catch and Possession Limits – The catch limit is the number of fish you are allowed to catch and keep in one day and includes fish that are not immediately released and any fish eaten or given away. The possession limit is the number you are allowed to have in your possession on hand, in cold storage, in transit, or anywhere. Possession limits are the same as one day’s catch limit except where otherwise specified
Open Seasons – Fishing season opening and closing dates vary depending on the species and the area. Dates are inclusive; all dates including the first and last dates stated in the summary are open or closed. It is illegal to attempt to catch fish for which the season is closed, even if you are going to release them. Fish accidentally caught during the closed season must be immediately released back to the water. Unless stated otherwise, species that are not listed (such as sucker and rock bass) have a year-round open season.
Atlantic Salmon* (Zone 16)
Closed all year
______________
So.. "Techniquely" you would be expected to Release the fish (to DIE).
My personal opinion is that the rule has mitigating circumstances (Like many things in life)

okay here's a TEST:... what fish is this?: (and Male or Female)

Length: 15 inches
Weight: 1.5 lbs
Male or Female: Male
Fish: Steelhead
Did it end up being male or female?

When I opened it up, their were no eggs/ didnt see any milk.
Since this fish initially had me confused (Weather it could be an ATLANTIC or not) getting the "Sex right" was the last of my worries.
I've been doing a lot of online comparisions to refresh identifying.
As for weight, as long as we are not in a tournament, let people dream!

What made me think it was different and that the second one might not be a bow was that you cant see any spots on the tail.
I agree with you with the mitigating circumstances point but I can see that topic getting pretty nasty lol
