And, Mikeh, are those nets electric or gas powered?? (When Blair posted that I thought it was 1 of those crazy golf greens that you sometimes see in pix. Rather share that spot with fishermen that golfers---no offence to golfers......well, maybe there is?? )

Just read the first 50 or 60 posts. LOLOL.exactly, how the heck do you fight about fishing? lol
But you are right. I see no harm in naming a river or lake, you are providing nothing on a river that is 100 miles long if you are not giving specifics.
The point of the forum is to discuss fishing and perhaps learn something from one another. I agree with not posting specific spots, but any of the lurkers could become a member of the forum in minutes, that's all it takes and there are also many more forums out there for them to gather info.
This is a silly thread, not sure why I keep visiting it, but I am a curious animal.

On the other hand if it is just to keep people off his property then it is definately wrong for people to be tearing them down and in that case i do feel bad for him.
I hate people who trespass and litter just as much as the next guy.
Sure i would probably have a different opinion if I owned a stretch of prime steelheading water....that however doesnt mean my opinion would be right.

Others here have been kind in their subtle and gentle responses to your provocative posting. Frankly, your convoluted and contradictory "opinions" are moot. It is your beahviour with landowners that should be of concern.
If you are truly acting as you have stated you do, then you are causing and/or contributing to a problem for the rest of us. Everytime some joker with a fishing rod disrespects a landowner and/or causes property damage, it makes it that much more difficult for serious and respectful anglers to gain access. I have lived in Grey/Bruce my entire life and I have seen the opportunities to fish in water adjacant to non-posted land continue to dwindle. That is happening precisely because of people who speak and behave as you do.
Why not try and imagine how you would prefer to have the situation dealt with if you were a landowner - your last post appears to acknowledge that you are capable of that - and then go and initiate a polite and respectful conversation with a landowner about access? You might find it to be more fruitful and less work than ripping down signs (regardless of what your opinion on the law of private property may be).

When an angler shows no respect for someone's private property and feels it's their own right to trespass and even go as far as taking down their sign, I simply have ZERO respect for someone like that. If you were the landowner and some yahoo comes along and starts tearing down your signs, because they feel it's their right, you'd be cheesed too. Consequently, he's been trying to hide his tracks by deleting his posts. Fortunately, the truth is still out there. You've really shown the type of fisherman you are.

QFT!Some of you guys are so far up your own... Its one thing to share but to advertise? This forum does suck... why? because minus the the odd few, no body else gives a poop about conservation of natural resources. YES something as simple as not posting backgrounds can help greatly, it doesn't take a scientist to realize that. 99% of all the posts just have you guys showing off your days catch, hardly anything on helping others with the sport. Ive met alot of great, respectful fishermen over the years... oddly enough not one learned what they know off an internet forum... Skill isnt attainable by reading nor is understanding that catching fish is only half of what it takes to be a good fisherman. That may come as a surprise to most of you...
Btw... Ex0or, it took me 45 min to decipher your post and im Filipino.
But honestly, in this day and age of Instant gratification, self entitlement and narcissism.. None of this shocks me.

LOL PM's arent enough for you eh? You are okay with land owners not allowing anglers to walk on the riverbed? Either you own land on a stretch of water or you are a complete idiot, either way cudos for bringing up a year old thread. You certainly proved your point.
PS...I deleted posts because I didnt want to stir up more controversy, good job for putting gas on an old fire.
EDIT: I just had to stop for a second and laugh out loud there, Frank I cant believe you hate me so much to go as far as lookin up year old posts on another forum...Way to put in the leg work bud!

It only shows that you have no respect for another person's property. There are stretches of riverbed in Ontario that are indeed private, but you have no remorse for your actions and only serve your own agenda of being an asshat of an angler. Thanks for proving my point.
My post was to only demonstrate the need to be vigilant with the info we post and loogans like yourself are only here to exploit and take advantage for your own good.
For the record, the posts found were from April of 2011, which is a far cry from your exaggeration of them being a year old. Again, you like to deceive others on this forum, but not everyone accepts the BS that comes from your mouth. You can keep spinning the same old story, but the proof is in the pudding.
