lol this is funny that's why it called forum talking talking PEOPLE ARE USING YOUR POST? in what going in the river that you catch the fish? oh common L2P you are pro right you know the right place where to catch the fish RIGHT? why you bothering saying this at forum? so people hide the background when they taking a picture? and dont post what river you went fishing? i think you are a loner, fishing is for everyone and fishing is to make new friends and fishing buddy i bet you fish always by your self? gonna ask you something ok. WHEN YOU GOT HOOKED A FISH AND YOU ARE ALONE DID YOU ENJOY IT? AND NO ONE IS BESIDE YOU NO FRIEND TO HELP YOU?

and anyways one thing gonna comment with this post RIVER IS FOR EVERYONE ITS PUBLIC!!! DONT GET MAD IF THERE'S SOME ONE IN YOUR SPOT!!! AND YOU CAN'T FORCE PEOPLE DONT TELL WHERE THEY FISH.. BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE IS A SELFISH AND NOT WILLING TO HELP A NEWBIE IN FISHING AND THIS IS PUBLIC FORUM THEY CAN SAY EVERYTHING YOU CANNOT STOP PEOPLE IF THEY WANT TO TELL WHAT RIVER THEY GO......

PS: IF THEY WANT TO GIVE A HINT YOU CANNOT STOP THEM IF THEY POST IT OPENLY ON PUBLIC NOT IN PMS

Here is the solution. From now on anyone wanting to post a fishing report should do it like this.

Fishing Report.
Had a good day out today on a Canadian lake or river, near somewhere in Canada.
My friend and I got 4 nice Rainbows and 2 Browns.
Here are the best pics I can post.

X.

X.

X.

Sorry the pics aren't better but I was worried someone might recognize a tree or rock in the background and come and fish my trib here some where in Canada.
We also caught a (excerpt deleted, due to the fact that species is only caught in a limited number of waters in Canada.)
That is my report, hope you enjoyed it and I hope that I may meet up with you sometime soon on some Canadian trib or lake. You know the one, I'll be there Saturday.
Hopefully this post won't draw more than the usual 1000 people who fish this Canadian river or lake every week-end.
OK everyone got it?
Enjoy our forum in the future.

Oh yeah, we're also getting a lot of nice Walleye at XXXX near XXXX in Canada, hope to see you there too.

Specific Spots: Disclosing the presence of fish in a specific pool, upstream from the mouth of any river or tributary is not permitted in the publicly viewable general discussion forum. For example, you can say "I had a great day fishing yesterday on Wilmot Creek", but we do not encourage members to say "The fish are stacked up in the pool at the CNR bridge". The latter statement should be relegated to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 reports sections, away from public view.

At this time of the year, the open zones are limited so it does not take more than 30 minute to figure out where the spot is even if you are not specific. I don't understand at all why people would like to mention the place?! To brag about their fishing day? Do people wanna do loogans a favor to so their own fishing spot gets destroyed? I don't get that

When it comes to online world, they say "if you want other people not find out about it, don't post it" anything said here will get out there sooner or later

This thread should not exist, way too many replies on this pointless thread for me to waste my time on. If anyone doesnt like the forum switch to a different forum or start your own forum up.

Stop crying and wasting our time.

For posting pics that reveal obvious locations - I agree that blurring backgrounds is a good idea, given the fishing pressure it could add.

Georgianbaydrifter seems like a conservation minded angler, I have only seen him keep one fish. I'm sure if asked he will blur out the background of his photos. Just upload them to photobucket or a similar service and use their edit function.

I've mentioned that to him via PM, but it's still there floating around in the open view of cyberspace.

Nado, you're a tard. I've seen you on another forum, but you haven't logged in for a while. Is it because nobody is spoon feeding you locations to fish? Maybe no one's answering your thread about water clarity? Hah.

You can -1 me if it makes you feel better. Lol.

Regarding naming spots and posting plain in view locations is just stupid. Not every trib can handle the massacre at the Willy pool. Those of you think you're helping the beginner fisherman are really naive. What L2P mentioned about 10 registered users to 70 in total users viewing this site is very alarming!

You're not helping the cause of conserving our fisheries.

+1

It's an important thing to discuss and educate, but it's sucks when people are too stubborn to listen. It's cool to post pics, but posting pics with a full background of a trib and naming the river is a complete lack of regard that EVERYONE can see it. People don't even have to register and contribute to this site. They can just view open free posts and ruin it for the rest of us.

Again, how is that beneficial in educating a new angler? What have they really learned after reading posts like that? Ultimately it benefits the snaggers/poachers and the respectful anglers get the short end of the stick.

Really tho, anyone who supports a thread called "This Forum Sucks" should really look into subscribing to another forum. I'm really suprised at the response alot of members have given to this thread. There are more constructive ways to get your opinion across than making a thread called "This Forum Sucks", people need to chill out and IMO this thread needs to be deleted because it does nothing other than to create a negative vibe on the site.

Saying things like "some of you are to blind to see it" just instigates more negativity. And I agree, let's stop it at this and twenty posts prior, lol.

I am impressed by how some of these guys are acting, you're right Blair, and georgianbaydrifter you're right too. It's like when you're first starting and all those pin snobs look down at you for using spinning gear or not high quality stuff. Like... Relax, I live in Muskoka and there isn't anything on this site that has been mentioned that I haven't had prior knowledge of. Come on boys, get real... Or friends and angling companions are THE best source of knowledge. I tour all over looking for fish, you think for a second that if someone rolls up to the credit and asks around he isn't going to get some info on another trib? Fishing only gets better with good attitudes. But it's guys like some of you that put tension on the water. I remember actually being scared of going to a gta trib for the first time hearing horror stories about locals getting pissed at new comers, over sized crowds and keeping fish. How the love is this sport supposed to survive with all the hate and tension. Hate the snaggers and poachers! And if your hole gets mentioned in this forum, and ends up getting over pressured because of it, find a new hole, there's only 100+ tribs in Ontario that hold fish... I drive more then two hours almost every time i go. So don't bitch because the one in your backyard has ten more anglers.

Do I need to tell everyone that the friend who brought you to that location bitched you out for posting the photo and naming the trib? Oops, I guess I let the cat out of the bag.

If I were your friend, I'd ex-communicate you quicker than Oprah can find a box of chocolate. Someone brings you to a location to fish with low fishing pressure and you just ruin it by posting it up. That is really reckless. Posting pics of a location of private property, again with full background in plain view, is just stupid. I'm sure the land owner of that stretch of water really appreciates that.

Just stay at the CNR pool where you can make friends with snaggers and poachers, seems like you don't really care anyways.
