The lower part of the Notty is up about 2 ft over the past 2 days and about 4 ft above what it was before we had the big rain. It will take a while before it's fishable.

Anyone else care to comment on a stream near you?

With so much rain, all the fish have swam up to spawn in the closed sections of the tribs. The water levels will only keep getting high and dirty.

It was a great season, but it's time to stay home and wait for some good ice fishing.

No need to move onto ice fishing yet, the rivers aren't frozen. The Huron tribs I visited this weekend were all runnning approx 1M to 1/2M higher than normal but the water was dropping and clearing and there were plenty fish. Friday and Saturday morning were hot on the Nine Mile. Saturday afternoon and Sunday was hot on the Maitland, then the raIN came again and the river is on the rise. Give it a couple of days after the end of the rain and start at the small tribs such as the Nine or the Bighead and watch out there will be fish until ice over.

LOL Frank thinks he will make people stay home if he posts stuff like that. Ive seen a few members make those type of posts recently, members that definately know better. Season isnt over by a long shot...with that being said I cant wait for the ice season.

Will it be funny to wear a flotation suit and go riverfishing? just to keep warm and afloat, if slippped into water!

my buddy tried a floatation suit for river steelhead and said it was terrible; it became a sauna suit. Those suits are made for fishing in a boat where you do not more around a lot.

Hey all,
I went to the Notty today.
No surprise, she's running high and dirty!
Talked with two guys at the parking lot, they didn't even rig up.
Two other guys were fishing, but didn't last more than an hour (one grew up on the river and is now a guide for in BC)
My buddy and I lasted 1 hour max. No fish, no surprise :(

I may hit up a river feeding into lake Ontario in the next few days?
I think they should be running clearer?
I will post the conditions and any pics.

I was at BayF month ago--it was an aquarium, no fish. Good to hear it's coming on again...
