just an observation but wondering why a post involving one pic of a bridge on a pool that everyone and their dog knows consistently puts out get so much heat. when a new joiner posts pics of an extremly small creek with familiar looking cedars... also holding a big hen brown vertically by the gill plate then posts video of themselves fishing on a redd and crashing up and down the creek fighting it and everyone congratulates them. I have been fishing trout salmon and steelhead for 15 yrs and always thought this was two things we generally look down on. here is a little report from the north fished a bunch this week tried some new hooks caught some fish lost some fish made some friends and generally had a good time doing it . water is high and clarity varied greatly from watershed to watershed. also does anyone know if MNR is still stocking browns in GB i though they scrapped that project awhile back but caught a nice one with a clip back in a local honey hole. will be happy when the rivers freeze and all there will be in pics is vast expanses of lake simcoe ice.
Now you know why I think this forum sucks.

in retrospec i would never have posted that pic if i had realized the rift it would have caused on the forum, but thought ppl might like to see what a truly perfect wilmot bullet looked like man that fish was bright. I have no hard feelings or animosity about the whole issue towards you and i can only hope you feel the same way in return. However to say the forum sucks is a bit harsh there has been many worthwile topics about windpatterns, hook, line and float selections, pin vs spin ect. your knowledge and experience is an asset to the group and anyone looking to catch salmonids the right way and losing your input here would be a -1 for OFF as a whole. Now you know why I think this forum sucks.
ps i would take you up on that drifter comp ......how does first fish, most sport fish species, most sportfish total, and largest by length ( b/c putting fish on a scale is cruel and unusual IMO unless using a weigh bag) $25 per catagory i dont know how we would choose the place?????

Im down for a tourney, I dont think OFF has ever had a get together and it might do the forum some good. Atleast I know the lurkers wont be there haha. Ofcourse it would have to be planned out and timed properly so all can have a good time.
Im off mon - thurs usually since I work at a resto downtown, I understand alot of people work weekdays. Maybe one of the admins or mods could put this together?? maybe we'll even have a good turnout

I have no hard feelings towards anyone, was just trying inform others like people would on a forum. Plus what fun are forums if there weren't any debates

I agree that we should be promoting conservation all the way. I also think that it friendly gesture to welcome and encourage new posters. It is discouraging to see someone hold a fish like that, but I also think that if he has a chance to view more posts on this site, he may start thinking more about catch and release.

there should be an OFF day at the whirlpool. make a post to find out how many people would like to show up, and when the best time would be.
Lately .... that might turn into a brawl!
*SMILES*
Just kidding, lots of "Passion" being "Shouted around".
Should try to keep it more opinionated vs alienated.
I"D LOVE TO HAVE A OFF DAY OUT! (Count me in - new job or not, i'll just tell the boss I'm going to see the phyciatrist *SMILES*)
Best to get one going (if its the pool) before the Big Freeze and the ice bergs are floating around.
Pool has lots of space.
and like mentioned, there is the TRIFECTA affect.
Next week would probably be the best DEC 17 or 18
Week after that is: Christmas eve /day and after that New Years eve
Course if your not "20" and "old' like me ..... *SMILES* going fishin vs going out an getting drunk, is A O K!
I had a bottle of champayne down at the Pool one New Years, wasnt bad at all!

Just part of working a trade instead of a 9-5, 5/7 hahathere would need to be space like i heard said... whirpool would be good option nice variety of gamefish also...hit the trout tri-fector out there this time of year lakers, browns, and steelies. saugeen has lots of space too. we can start our own occupy movement, OFF occupies the wilmot slaughter pool SNAGGERS NOT WELCOME i can see the headlines now. L2P youre livin the dream eh buddy work the weekend and fish through the week, weekend fishing is bogus and will only do it if fishing some private places.
