My fishing buddy who is an experinced bass fisherman tells me that he has not noticed better results with these lures. He has a couple of them in his tackle box and rarely uses them. Anyone having a different experince?

then i would definitely recommend throwing lures like this. maybe not this one in particular as i do not have any experience with this exact lure. however, many lures like this do work!

Thanks for the post, awesome looking swimmer. I was looking in to swimbaits this summer and came across this cool video about how to re-rig them.

I noticed the double trebs on the bottom of that bait. You'll definitely hook a lot of fish on those...but many of them will be small and the trebs will mangle them and be a pain to get out sometimes. If you want to make sure you only catch the big boys and let the little ones live to grow bigger (why waste money on a good swimbait to catch babys?) you might want to check this out. The hook is at the top front so only those lunkers that SWALLOW it will stay on, Plus you won't have to worry about snagging on the bottom as often (watch and you'll see why). Not for everyone but I hope it brings some people enjoyment. Cheers!

there are many ways to modify a lure. you can swap out the hooks and pin a frog hook. the ways are almost limitless. the butchbrown setup will slip out if not done correctly.
