I was up in the Bancroft area this past weekend.
Hit up lots of Walleye and a few Splake Trout. Ice was over 10" thick on most lakes. Lots of huts on the ice.
We tried to make a mission to some stocked Brook, Rainbow and Lake Trout lakes but the road conditions were poor
Caught a few Perch and got snapped off by a Pike. Walleyes were hitting hard!!! Spent a day on a stocked Splake Trout lake with 4 miss hits and 3 caught.
Great few days of fishing! Heading back up in 2 weeks.

If only it wasn't for the ice--but then it wouldn't be ice fishing would it??
I'll stick to the indoors (mucho flies to tie before spring)

I'm heading to Barry's Bay Lots of stocked lakes in that area there but HARD to get to. There is ths one lake that I just remembered about, stocked lake full of sunfsh and splake. On top of a mountain, if you want the name of it, PM me. Place is unreal in the summer. Water clartity is a good 15 feet, lots of logs, fished it twice last year and only had sunfsh, I don't know how to catch splake. Gonna take up the ATV to get in there when we go, rough terrain. Anyways, what did you land the splakes on? I need tips
Where did you catch the perch and walleyes at? Kami near Combermere?

I used a small minnow on a dead stick in shallow water off shore for the Splake.
Walleye and Perch was about 20' of water on a ledge between deep and shallow breaks with a minnow.
Jig something in your 2nd hole to attract the fish. 9 times out of 10 the fish will hit the live minnow.

I've heard that is really productive--pics speak for themselves I guess...
