Hello
I'm currently trying to organize a day trip for fellow colleagues to go ice fishing in late Feb, and I'm wondering if anyone has some input on reliable hut operators on Simcoe? As of right now there is 20-30 people signed up to go and now I need to find a good location to try and get people on the fish.
I've choosen Simcoe due to the central location to the GTA and the fact some people have never fished before let alone ice-fished.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Hey Esox t. If you go to the site notjustfishing.com and click on ice fishing, then Lake Simcoe they give you a pretty good list that includes phone numbers and emails.
I haven't been up there for a few years so I hesitate to suggest anyone in particular in case things have changed. I would suggest that if you want lots of action, perch and smelt, maybe a pike. Try Cooks Bay at the south end of Simcoe around Keswick or Georgina. If it's walleye or lakers you want try operators near Beaverton on the east side of the lake who can get you to the walleye near Thorah Island or get you out over deeper water further out for lakers and whitefish.
Alfie.
