Hey everyone new to this forum ive got the winter blues so I was thinking about going to either the oshawa creek or duffins creek this weekend. I know aslong as I stay south of the cnr tracks the season is open all year.I was wondering if it was to early in the year to go out or should I wait until march? This will be my first spring as a fly fisherman so any pools or fly patterns will be extremly helpful.

I havent fished either creek but I can tell you that its not too early, I have been fishing for them since late october and I know a few other guys who have been catching them there. As for flies I would suggest woolly buggers, egg sucking leeches, bead head flies and streamers.
