Today we decided to go out a little later than the norm , we started at 11 am and fished in one hole for four hours ( got that TC ) .
First two drifts = two beauty hens slush and all . Funny thing was my friend Ray's fish caught the ice ledge and broke him off , he was more upset about the hook left in the fishes mouth than losing it . Ten minutes passed ... " Fish " , I hooked another scrappy fat hen , brought her to the bank and low and behold ... Ray's roe bag and hook in the roof of her mouth .
We caught every range in size from jumping shakers to HOGS and still ... no males ? !!! Again it was a mixed bag of roe bags that clinched the day .
[I had a dream Tuesday night about floats firing under the surface in anticipation of what Wednesday would bring ... a front came through and killed my bonanza .
We worked the water hard to get six takers and for them to throw our hooks back in our face .... was , well - frustrating .

It is nice that you were rewarded for braving the elements.
