Braved the winds and went out last Friday evening to Frenchmans bay to target Pike. It was WINDY and the water was moving fast.
My buddy and I managed to Catch and Release 2 pikes. Below are the pics:

As you can see, this guy was caught on a Rapala husky jerk using a steady medium speed retrieve. The pike was about 1.75 ft. long. I think it was a male, but I am not sure.

This female below was caught on a red & white daredevil spoon by working the floor in a stop-retrieve fashion. She was about 2 ft. long

If you look real close at the first smaller pike, you will notice red on the body a couple inches away from the tail....this is not the first time I saw bite marks/blood on pike at this location! Pike are known to attack each other.

Happy fishing!

Where you fishing from the shore and if so, where on the shore?

Yep shore fishing @ the foot of Liverpool rd. I think practicing catch and release at this location is a good idea since a lot of people fish there and it would suck if all the fish were gone!

Awesome catches!!!! I know I'm dying to get out for some pike and seeing those pics just makes the itch worse lol...

My cousin and I were fishing a small pond loaded with pike last year, we were jig bobbing small little twister tails and we're nailing them left and right. On one retrieve my cousin thought the pike went and snagged himself under a log so he slowly pulled and reeled and slowly pulled and reeled and when he got it into shore he had a small 14"-16" on that took his hook and then another probably 30+" easy pike that bit and latched onto the smaller pike and wouldn't let go. We dragged the line onto shore, the biggin' still wouldn't let go,.my cousin started to take the hook out of the smaller Pikes mouth when the bigger one finally let go. I've seen that on fishing shows before and have heard fish "tales" of bringing 2 pike in at once while only hooking the one but then I saw it with my own 2 eyes and it still amazes me.

I'm on my Playbook right now but will upload some pics off my torch, seamless RIM plug but the wife works there so it is half our income.. Yikes lol

A couple pics of them attached, then a pic of the small one and then the biggin'

Edit...

I forgot one thing.... The smaller pike got some revenge, as my cousin got the hook out and the bigger pike let go.. When my cousin was picking the bigger pike up, the smaller did a little flip flop and jumped up and bit the bigger Pikes tail, it was epic lol

Wow! I have heard of pike eating pike, but never seen pics of it. That must have been an absolutely mind blowing experience! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I just started fishing last summer, and got into pike fishing at frenchmans bay around November last year. Most of the times I have had good luck there!

It certainly was a rush when we figured out it was a second pike and not a tangled log, we were giddier then school girls and was the highlight of the year last year for me. That and catching my first salmon in almost 18 years.

What kind of smartphone? I have a BB Torch and there's a choose file option under the text box, not sure if you see that option or not tho, the choose file option is just like browsing your on phone files.
