Got out today for some pier fishing and landed one beautiful chrome rainbow  Finally broke a long skunk! Went out with my 7 foot kayak rod and got it on a live target smelt lure. Those $12 were worth it I guess haha

Anyone else get out today?

I was going to ask the same thing, but the Atlantic would have a forked tail and that one looks straight.

The rainbow colours were a lot more obvious in person. The photos don't do it justice. Mainly browns being caught in that area but this bow was a nice surprise.

I see the stripe but I was still thinking the same thing as GBD. It appears the fish was caught casting in or near the lake and browns look a lot like that colour wise when they are out there.

Either way congrats on breaking the skunk, that is a beauty of a fish!

This is true. I was casting off a pier. So this is a fresh chromer. The browns we get in that same area are very similar in colour. Minus the slightly visible stripe.
