New here, not so new to fishing.

Moved here from Nova Scotia about 9 years ago, and just started fishing again late last year a bit on Scugog as its close to where I live in Markham. Managed a few panfish while I was trying for Bass. ended up with a few Small and Large mouth too. No Walleye's although am looking forward to hooking into them and or Pike asap!

Benn fishing Trout and Salmon most of my life, so if anyone is traveling to Nova Scotia and need some advise, sports, tips - feel free to PM me.

Hi Buzzkill! What are some popular methods in Nova Scotia? Is float fishing common there?

Nova Scotia has better off shore fishing by far. Anything you can catch in NB you can catch more of off NS. South shore is best for the yellows.

You can only catch Salmon on Fly roads. Spinning is kind of looked at as amateur in Nova Scotia. As a kid I loved spinning, but once you grow up it was almost faux pas for someone over 16 to mention catching anything in the lakes or rivers with a spinning set up. It's a local thing I guess.

You don't see a lot of float fishing, unless it's a dry fly! It's common to see the. Locals with fly tying gear with them, catch a bug that's on the water and try to tie a fly that looks like it...
