I would not be surprised if there were Bass and pumpkinseed.

Bullhead are everywhere.

Carp are almost everywhere as well.

It's a beautiful place, that's for sure.

Cool, I looking at it on the GTA map section and it is pond 117, might try it, but first want to go to the islands.

Thats ET Seton Park and I think those ponds are fed from or linked to a creek that connects with the main don river, so there's likely fish to be caught. If you are looking for another site in the nearby area that also has fish, try the Don Brickworks Park ponds....

Have you gotten some polarized sunglasses yet? They're great for seeing under the water. If you can sit there and watch the surface and walk around the pond, you might be able to spot what's in there.

I would always go down there and would through bread in the water and tons of fish came up, tried throwing some bread in the other day saw none.

I only mentioned bullhead because I caught them there before. You can say carp and cats are everywhere but thats not always the case when dealing with small bodies of water. I found a pond behind an abandoned house/farm and its stocked with tons of goldfish. I say they were in the 7" range.

I am seriously considering taking my fishing gear to work tomorrow to fish this after 5. If I get the chance, I will report back in what (if anything) I see/catch.

Any advice on what to offer up would be welcome.

Worms! If you have them :P Or I find that a small, white plastic grub is a suitable alternative to a worm.

But for carp you'd probably have to use bread or corn on the hook.

Mike - have you fished the brickworks before? What kind of fish do you expect are in it? I know the don has a terrible rep for being dirty....

Lots of Panfish of various types, a few catfish, plus a few exotics like goldfish......

Go ultralight with micro baits and you'll have a blast.

I fished the Brick Works, first time there and I reported two guys throwing frogs for bass. Not to mention throwing the fish into a different pond that it came from. I mostly go hand-lining (6 lb mono) with a small jig head and a small piece of worm. I find that even with an ultra ultra light the thrill is not there. I only catch sunfish (some quite big), and bull head, seen a carp and a goldfish but never caught one as I do not let my bait hit the bottom way to many weeds and snags! Plus I've seen dogs swimming and never wanted to lose a hook and then have a dog step on it. Wow I went on a rant. Hope this helps. PLEASE PRACTICE CATCH AND RELEASE, If you go,there is not enough fish to repopulate the pond if you remove them. Plus the fish would be kinda gross from all the garbage and waste in the water. Thanks have a great day.
