I decided to do a little road trip out to Port Maitland, This is where the Grand River empties into Lake Erie. It is also about a mile downstream from Dunnville where the first carp were stocked in Ontario in the 1880's
I was hoping to get there when the weather changed and I hit it just right.
I fished tight to the shore ( in the margins as we carpers say ) with grits pack and a corn puff for a hookbait. I landed a few fish .
