i want to use some soft plastic baits when i get out at night to fish for some cats, was hoping somebody could share some advice about some recipe or scent to soak the soft plastics in ?
I have had some success with: BACON GREASE & GARLIC CLOVES
- Just pour the BACON GREASE into a jar and mix in several cut up CLOVES of Garic.
Makes a nice paste (Longer it sits out in warmer temps the stinkier it gets). Put back in the fridge to make a thicker consistancy.
Hope this helps.

I've had luck using chicken livers on a hook and I've read that frozen shrimp once thawed work well also.
* if your not using the "Plasitcs" at first mentioned, Staffman has it right on.
I would also reccomend:
- Cut suckers or Chubs

Chicken livers are all I use at night, let them sit in the sun for a few days, that will make them nice and stinky, you cant beat it.
