Been reading some good posts here the last couple months and decided to sign up an account to add some content.
Tried Port Credit a couple times last week and it was so dead, I had to leave after about an hour.
I decided to drive over to Port Hope after the couple days of rain that we had and the Salmon were running. Here's a couple pics of the whoppers I landed last night.
If anybody wants to go, let me know... it's not easy landing these big guys by myself and people are kinda snobby about helping with the net. Some people don't speak English and when you have a nice 20-30 pound fish on the line and yell "FISH IS COMING UP" (towards the Lake) they don't even take their lines out of the water. Last night I had about 20 good bites, lost 4 fish, of which one I had been fighting a good fifteen minutes while he jumped about 4 feet 2 dozen times out of the water and he didn't let up right until the very end when he gave me the cold shoulder and spit out my number 6 hook right at me. He grinned and swam away. I was fortunate to get these 2 bad boys in. I stayed 3 hours. So if anyone is up to it, my name is Steve and I am in Richmond Hill. I have a good spot and a good technique. Just share gas.
Pm me if interested, I'm going to be going out a good half dozen times the next couple weeks as long as the fish are there, and then I'll change over to Port Credit when those ones start coming in as it's a lot closer for me.
