I'm New to this forum and I want to let you guys know that most of the info I read up in te forums are pretty useful, so thank you everyone for contributing your 2 cents....
Like everyone else I've been waiting and waiting for some Salmon action in the Tribs as I dont have a boat to venture the great O Lake... Having said that last night I stuck Gold in the true Olympic spirit, got a lot of stricks and lost a lot of SIlvers (Coho) but managed to land 3 nice ones (2 in the 20lbs and on 25lb).
Caught them all on a blue/white William spoons...
Here's a pic of one of them.... sorry for the pic quality.. this is the best I could do.

All you can do it get out there and invest in many hours.
Unlike fishing up the river, fishing the mouth of a river is different. You ain't fishing where the fish are, You have to fish and hopefuly fish will stop by your lure

Got to put your time in. Everyone is casting the same thing just a matter of getting out there and casting just like everyone
Tribs are any creeks, rivers flowing into lake Ontario
East tribs get all the action first then slowly the west heats up.
Your are from Scarborough just check a map and see all the Eastern tribs.

Been reading some good posts here the last couple months and decided to sign up an account to add some content.
Tried Port Credit a couple times last week and it was so dead, I had to leave after about an hour.
I decided to drive over to Port Hope after the couple days of rain that we had and the Salmon were running. Here's a couple pics of the whoppers I landed last night. If anybody wants to go, let me know... it's not easy landing these big guys by myself and people are kinda snobby about helping with the net. Some people don't speak English and when you have a nice 20-30 pound fish on the line and yell "FISH IS COMING UP" (towards the Lake) they don't even take their lines out of the water. Last night I had about 20 good bites, lost 4 fish, of which one I had been fighting a good fifteen minutes while he jumped about 4 feet 2 dozen times out of the water and he didn't let up right until the very end when he gave me the cold shoulder and spit out my number 6 hook right at me. He grinned and swam away. I was fortunate to get these 2 bad boys in. I stayed 3 hours. So if anyone is up to it, my name is Steve and I am in Richmond Hill. I have a good spot and a good technique. Just share gas.
Pm me if interested, I'm going to be going out a good half dozen times the next couple weeks as long as the fish are there, and then I'll change over to Port Credit when those ones start coming in as it's a lot closer for me.
Cheers guys.

I Should be heading that way this Saturday, my buddy might be joining me from Aylmer and i'm from Waterloo. Was thinking of doing some fishing up river, at the very least we could possibly meet up.

I'll be going a couple more times this week and if they are still running, there's no better way I can think of spending my weekend. Most likely, I'll be there.
