Thanks for the updates.
Dont let the SORE ARMS stop you now.... lol
Better than going to a gym!
ps: If the Salmon come in early ... then the Steelies will follow!
I gave up following the whole TEMP thing a few years ago ... in "general" a good policy to follow
However, every year (lately) "It' seems to be going by its own path.
Well done

I was going to give it another week, but judging by the pics I should get out asap

I sent them off to the FBI LAB in Quantico
They were authenticated ... lol
I'm telling you, the weather this year is doing some strange things out there.
You know the old saying:
Dont fight it, GO with the FLOW!
Best to all ... need some SORE ARMS myself.
ps: Wonder when the Browns will be in? they like the Chinny eggs...

This system was forecasted a while ago. Strong onshore winds, cold front, significant rain fall, lasting over a period of 2-3 days. In mid August, that spells early salmon run.
Nice pics. I am very sore right now, in particular my old rugby injury on my right hand. My health is down the crapper as of last winter, and all day I could taste blood just from the exertion of fighting salmon. They say live every day like it might be your last - well I definitely did that today!
There were so many coming in that I was tripping over salmon, and had one smash into my ankle so hard that it hurt.

I am a beginner trying to catch my first salmon... What do you mean by "east trib"?
Great catches by the way... will not give up until a land something like that.

yup sickest salmon open since notty in angus years back, to those who second guessed yourselves you missed one hell of a party. its wrecked now because everyone knows bring on the colder months.
Last year on Sept 8 ... the "weirdest" thing was happening for the Ganny's River Run.
There were Thousands of them running in the MIDDLE of the AFTERNOON (Right through downtown).
The sun was out, it was about 23C.
It HAD NOT RAINED in over 10 Days.
No PARTICULAR REASON for them to be RUNNING like that.
They would hit anything that moved!
The Buck - Hen ratio was 3-1
WEIRD ... yet "Great afternoon". Must of hit into almost 25+
Was'nt the "Deep Water" of the Pier ... but when your driving through downtown on your way out, and see a sight like that ... you can't help but stop.
