East Coast Killas - West Coast Killas *SMILES*
I fished the Vedder many a time.
Wasnt using a "Pin" so cant help yah there ...
Due to the Population, and the Fact that I now live in Ontario, have to say the "War" is being won by the east.
Course, whenever i head back out west ... I simply Change my Colours!

I'm pretty sure he is Wallace casting. Or a variation of the wallace cast.

This guy is extremely informative and takes the time to really show and explain techniques.
Not sure if this is the "Same" cast ... but gives you the link to his videos.
* I think I'm heading out to go Chuck some spoons on the pier!
Gotta run ... lol (one of those awesome last minute phone calls!)

The cast that he is using is known as a BC cast. It originated on the west coast, likely in BC, and out there they use large floats (20to30g) which require a lot of lead and that is why they can cast with one hand. If you Google BC cast I'm sure you will find Youtube videos of it.

That is BC cast, which requires HEAVY weight on the line to generate the momentum to spin the reel.
It is also the very same reason why baitcaster reels require stuff 3/8oz in order to cast.
