New to the board from london ontario.
I enjoy fishing of all kinds, and am looking forward to sharing some stories and pictures as well as learning some new tips.
My favourite type of fishing is topwater fishing of any kind. I absolutely love the rush of watching a lure get crushed off the top of a nice calm water in the morning or early evening.
Cheers and see you on the water.

I wouldn't eat anything out of the thames unless you're well outside of london. You can always try Sharon's Creek, but i've only ever caught one bass there..Hey guys, from London as well, just got into fishing. I was @ a stocked bass pond near Embro on Sunday and caught 4 decent bass and they turned out great for dinner. I was just wondering, since I'm getting back into it, is there anywhere near or around London that I could fish and land something worth eating? I have a friend coming down from Ottawa and me and the fiance want to take him out Saturday morning and we are hoping to catch something for the deep fryer. I know my other buddy says he wouldn't eat anything from around here around this time of year and I don't know if that holds any value/truth or if it just his opinion. Sorry for sounding so newbish and thanks in advance for any tips / advice you guys can hook me up with Cheers !!

According to the Ontario Sport Fish consumption guide the fish from the Thames are safe to eat. If you eat one or two that's totally safe. Also there should be bows and the odd salmon coming up the river this time of year from Lake Erie. Although I wouldn't eat any carp or suckers that you will almost definitely enjoy catching one after another. Have fun!

lol true they love jitterbugs, and when did you catch these walleye and on what?
Caught a few 2-3lb mainly on the blue/silver rapala husky jerk - they love the perch pattern too.
But, it is a crapshoot in the end of the day - anything you throw for bass will probably work for them too!

I've been fishing in and around London for years - Primarily chasing bass, but I'll take whatever I can get!
Been lurking the board for a while and seems like a great source of info. Thanks in advance for all the great tips I'm gonna steal from here.
