Don't worry about type or color. You plan on catching fish With that many people there?? Lol. Get the Blackbird hooks. I think they're phantom blackbird. They are short and thick enough when u use small bags

+1Personally I wouldn't use these at the geen. If you get a hot fish shoot down one of the fast flows the hook will straighten. I've had it happen before.
I bump it up to size 6 and 8 octopus strong there and haven't had any issues . My leader will break or the fish will spit the hook before the hook straightens.

If you are sleeping in your car - just wear your waders, coat and a winter hat... no problem.
I have slept in my car around the river many times and never been woken up... Although I wish I would have been woken up a few times so I didn't sleep until 10 lol

I've done it. They keep your body heat in on a cold night. But I can sleep anywhere after a beer or 2 knowing I will be fishing good water in the morning??
Can't say I ever slept in my waders, but I am curious now, was it just really uncomfortable after a while?
