Lots of rain yesterday 5pm. Was at Duffins and the Rouge both chocolate milk and no fins visible. I don't know how long before it will clear up, 2-3 days, they are fast flowing rivers maybe sooner. More rain expected for Thursday so no chance to clear up till Sat or Sun when the cold front moves in, another one, last weekend's front shut the fishing off at Buckhorn.

Uhh... That video is irrelevant, as they are retrieving the presentation, and there is a giant spinner attractor. lol.

I'm talking about the guys who sit on bottom for an hour at a time.

Salmon dont hit roe that is sitting still. They run into it.

And yeah Bronte sucked last night,.. only 1 landed.. heh..

I agree with the attractor bit, but there is no retrieve its sitting on bottom and bait is fluttering in the current with the help of the spinner. The stick at the end of the video would move out of camera view if the bait was being retrieved. Plus i only posted the video saying that salmon will hit roe as you said salmon will not hit roe, ciggarette butts,marshmellows....and I definatley agree that they wont hit cigarette butts..

after watching the vid, i'm no rocket scientist but it looks to be an underwater camera with a rig positioned above it. probably at a head of a pool, not a retrive.

and ya, been here a while now alot of creeping and research. joined the forum last year and with all your great posts and knowledge caught my first king last fall! kinda forgot about this most righteous forum until this years sportsman show. i picked up my first fly rod after doing some reading over the winter.

you knoowww!

I know they hit roe.

But I'm talking about when sitting on bottom with a lining rig.

9.9 times out of 10 they are just running into it.. no matter what is on the hook.

Nothing wrong with that rig. I dont use it but if its not a huge split shot that is above the hook then thats a good bottom bouncing rig. Now if they are fishing a 10' wide section of river stacked with 50 fish then that rig will be snag central.

Yes im talking about more like a 7 foot wide by probs 20 foot long hole on Oshawa Creek that multiple people rigged this way drifting it threw stacked fish maybe not 50 but enough..not to mention the length of line between the split shot and roe bag was upwards of 4 feet..snag central it was..
