Its funny by the end of the day I was starting to get bored of the heavy brutes being on my line all day but now that I am back at work all I wanna do is go back and get into more Chinny’s!

A day for my personal record books that’s for sure. First time I’ve caught a Coho, first time I’ve seen lake run browns in person….all in all a great day. In fact it was the best day I have ever had Chinook fishing. I used to be deterred by the long drive out east but after seeing the size of these runs I think ill be making that trip more often.

sounds like u guys timed it just right, coho's are fun would prefer just them over the chinny's.

I recommend people use worms after a rain if they want browns. They're in there, but they're smaller and tougher to spot until the chinook numbers start to thin out. Some tribs are experiencing peak chinook runs right now, and this upcoming cold front and rain will assure that many more continue to run.
To get a coho now is very lucky. I only saw a few today out of several hundred chinooks. They weren't running together, they were simply mixed in with the chinnies.
October is a better time for cohos in numbers.
What I did see a lot of today were chinook jacks. More than I expected to see given how few I usually catch.

I almost wanna do it again this weekend, torn between tribs lolTiming is everything . Glad you had a blast buddy. It definitely would be nice to see more coho's. That fish fought like crazy, at first we thought it was a big steelhead lol, crazy runs. I've also noticed a lot of jacks. Still fun tho since they're controllable unlike some of the pigs in there.
